How many things do you download and not customize the downloads? You are probably downloading things that come with their own toolbar and these toolbars are overtaking the toolbar you had set up. Right click on File, see all your toolbars. Uncheck the ones you do not want or recognized and check mark the one you want to use.
As for your game see if you can right click on it and close it or look for a tab on the top of your screen or the bottom toolbar that has the game name on it and see if there's an X on it or you can right click on the tab and close it.
