The drug Anabuse has side effects but these are minor and seldom reported by patients. These side effects include: Drowsiness, headache, metallic or garlic taste in mouth.
There is a chance that more severe side effects will appear and then it is recommended to seek medical attention. The severe side effects include: Severe allergic reactions such as rash on the skin or shortness of breath due to swelling of the lips, tongue, mouth or face, blurred vision, changes in the way you see colors, dark urine, loss of appetite during a long period that causes severe lose of weight, nausea, mental and mood changes, severe tiredness, numbness or tingling of the arms or legs, seizures, vomiting, weakness, yellowing of the eyes or skin. But as said theses severe side effects are not common.
