The bible is a book and as such does not have the power of speech.

There may be words written in the book but the book does not have the power of vocalising.

Jesus repeatedly said, '' Truthfully I tell you this, if it were not so, I would not tell you this.....''  b/c he knew it was going to be a hard sell of what he told them about God and himself.  And later on he said, '' If you do not believe I am who i say, then, believe it b/c of the miricles I've done. ''     Then, when they told Doubting Thomas, that Jesus had come  back from the dead, he said, yeah, right. I'll believe it when I see it. So Jesus showed him the hole in his hands, and in his side, and Doubing Thomas fell to Jesus's knees and said,'' I believeth , Lord, Help me with my unbelief.''   Then, Jesus said, '' He has seen the holes in my hands and in my side, and he believes, but how much more blessed are those who have NOT seen it and then believe ! ''

The Bible shows that truth comes through Jesus--- John 1:17: “Because the law was given through Moses, the undeserved kindness and the truth came to be through Jesus Christ.”

The Bible shows us where we can find the truth--- John 17:17: “Sanctify them by means of truth, your word is truth.” {The Bible is God’s word that contains the truth}

The Bible shows that the truth found in God’s word will set us free from doubts, unanswered questions about God and his purpose, fear of the future, and false religious teachings that dishonor God.--- John 8:32: “and you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.”
