I will be doing this in the spring to a rental property. I have done this twice before. Depending on how high your going to raise the structure will depend on how much blocking you will need. My house will be raised four feet. It is 48 feet in front x 32 feet wide. I will need eight 20 ton hydraulic jacks. The stroke on these jacks is only 18 inches so you will need to continually add additional blocking as the house is raised. This is a big project, if your unsure of your capabilities, do not attempt it. This house is ten years old and has no termite damage. If any rotten wood or termite damage is visible, do nothing till the floor system is structurally sound.

This is best left to someone with the experience of having done it at least several times before, and knows what to look for, aside from having the knowledge of doing it safely and correctly. You are also better off to get someone with insurance covering doing that kind of work.
