In order to stop receiving emails from someone you will need to either mark the email as spam or add the sender on “Blocking” list. Instructions on how to do so in a gmail account can be found at: http://support.google.com/mail/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=8151

If you have created an account with them, then you can unsubscribe through your account.

Navigate to eHarmony.com. Log-in to your account.

Click on "My Settings" from your membership desktop. Click on "Account Settings."

Cancel your account by clicking on the "Cancel My Account" or the "Close Account" button. Your subscription will be cancelled, all of your matches and connections will be deleted, and you will not be able to access anything in your account from that point forward.

If it allows you to unsubscribe, then it, in my opinion, would be a trustworthy one.
