A lot of engineers found it impossible that the buildings would totally collapse from the planes crashing into the buildings as high as they did. The heat and power created from the planes crashing, the explosions, and fire would have taken the tops of the buildings (above impact and several stories below impact). Apparently the steel frame that went way underground couln't colapse unless it was melted from that level. Meaning....

Also the CIA had begun making incredible deals with Iraq...the Iraquies had agreed to let us in to look for the bio-warfare, had agreed to special and exclusive oil deals with us and they (CIA top US gov.) knew for weekS that a flight attack by a militant group would occur in NYC and what the target was. But BUSH W continued to make Iraq the bad guys- he just needed a way to convince the americans. SCHMUCK!!!!!

Doo, I am not surprised that the CIA had a hand in this too. Iraq did have weapons of mass destruction(supplied by the US) during the Iran-Iraq war.Inspectors told our government, that there were no more weapons of mass-destruction in Iraq just before we attacked Iraq. This war was planned in advance of 9/11

Ann- I agree. The planes definitly went into the towers but they new it was going to happen- the buildings came down with "help"...all because He needed a reason for the war.

Doo, Thats a horrific thought. If this is true, then our government committed the crime of mass-murder.

Im not an architect or a civil engineer- too many of them agree the planes could not have done it alone. I can only sleep at night saying "perhaps all of those engineers were wrong"

Those Engineers were wrong! I am an Engineer, with a Degree in metallurgy. My first employer, after college was the Bethlehem Steel Corporation.

If you search the NEW building code in NYC you will discover that buildings built with tubular exterior supporting walls, as was the WTC, can longer be built over 19 floors. All of the other tall buildings in NYC and around the country are BUSSTRESS buildings like the Empire State building.

A BUSSTRESS designed building uses 48 inch “H” beams up the center and then lesser 36 in, 32 in 24in “I” beams, etc., to the outer walls When you see buildings with all side GLASS walls, it is apparent that they are BUSSTRESSED buildings. If Bethlehem Steel had won the contract to build its BUSSTRESS designed building the WTC buildings would not have collapsed.

The only part of the WTC that was BUSSTRESS designed were the seventeen floors below ground floors and the center stair well and elevator area. Below ground and in the center core area is the only place survivors were found.

The NY Port Authority chose the tubular exterior supporting wall construction because it was less expensive to build and the “bridge” like floors, welded to the center core and the outer walls, allowed for more rentable floor space.

When the second plane hit, at a greater angle and took out far more of the supporting walls, I told my wife that that building will fall down. As you know it fell first, after the other plane took out fewer floors in the other building Edit this comment Delete comment

Thanks Jack- I appreciate the explanation- and am glad the other engineers were wrong!

It was waaay more important to invade and start a (BS) war then to investigate....or, perhaps a few things needed to be covered up first.

There was no investigation needed. The one's in the know already had the script to go by.

Yup. Bush could have at least looked shocked when he got the news. Bad acting job!

Really bad. This is why he was not cast as an extra on the new Dallas show.

LMAO!!!!! I hope he isn't allowed to fly a plane or (err..em) play with explosives either!

Well if he were allowed to fly a plane, we could have Airplane!sequel number III :)

    I know a good mountain!!!!

Since the plan  to attack Iraq was made long before 9/11, they had to figure out a way to make the public believe that Sadam had weapons of mass-destruction, even though the government knew he did not. That is what took him so long and god knows what else, to establish the 9/11 commision. It was the perfect time to start the war in Iraq.

and people wonder why I think he has been the worst president in recent history. Schmuck probably called all of the horrific deaths that day "collateral damage"

There is more to it than meets the eye. Read up on "Middle East Policies" by the Cato Institute.

OK...will do. Did you read my CIA comments to Jack?
    Ann

    Doo, Yes
    Jack Large

Yes I know but how does that work when several people answer?

    How do I answer each?
    Ann

Jack, under each post it says "comment this answer" Press it and write your answer.

Because the Bush administration and the Congress were too busy figuring how to stop further attacks on our country by the radical Islamic terrorist, WBMG

What do you think was the reason?

Because they wanted to make it more believable than is scripted stone face expression when he heard that planes had hit the twin towers?
    Jack Large

Didn't you watch TV on 9/11 when the second one hit the north tower?

There were even pictures of the first one hitting, that were shown later on.

I'm not questioning if they hit. I'm questioning his non reaction to the news, also how long it took him to get off his duff to attend to business.

Jack, do not answer each time as a new answer. The next one will be deleted. "Comment this answer" or use the blue comment area. It's a lot of work for me to move out of place replies.

He did not want to create a bad situation in front to the Children, to whom he was reading to at the time, was the explanation I heard.

I was the Secret Service that wanted to take him AWAY from Washington because there was still one plane unaccounted

Because of communications problems he eventually overruled Service and flew to DC

Yes, I've heard that lame excuse many times. "Sorry, kiddies, the president is a busy man, so and so will take over as the president has a pressing appointment right now" would have worked. They would not have known anything was happening or going on. As young as those kids were, they truly would not have cared if he left without a word.

You were secret service Jack? When did you fit it in? I thought you were busy running a million dollar company.
    Jack Large

I sold my company in 1999.

What I do now is run my trust accounts.

I was looking for when you had time to be in the secret service or did I read you wrong?
    Jack Large

    Apparently. WBMG

What I quoted was what I saw on TV, regarding the events of 9/11, on the tenth anniversary.

OK, sorry I did miss that it was a quote.
    Jack Large

    No problem. ;)

Considering it is government, that was pretty quickly done.
