REAL LEATHER IS MADE FROM COW HIDE

There are many ARTIFICAL leathers out there also.

God knows what THEY are made of.

Dead animals.. The make leather from many animals but the winner of most things leather is cattle..  Their 'hides'

it comes from a cow .. its the hide   .. what you should be asking me is where do swade come from.

ill tell you anyway after you have the leather take some 220 grit sand paper and sand a little ruff on it .. its now swade .. my nick name for ask a question is  top notch

Leather is made from animal hides from a process called tanning . Hides from Goat,Pig,Elk.Deer,Moose,Horse,are sold commercially in America by the square foot. We are not  currently tanning and selling hides from idiots ,but that may change. LOL !!!!!!!! To see a commercial hide seller try  www.hidehouse.com Due to EPA regs there are very few tanneries left in North America,perhaps two at the most. From Australia we import kangaroo hides for making lace.Horse hides are used for gloves. Mule hide is also used. There are many different tanning process including one used by the Native Americans called brain tanning which makes a very soft hide . The hide starts out thick and it cut in two like slicing bread only very thin ,the second cut is called the suede which has a rough texture on both sides .
