We have a photo of my older brother as a 7 yr. old, back in the 50's, standing next to the Lincoln with Ike in rear seat, window down talking to him. He was coming back home, walking, from the local brook. Ike was asking him how the fishing was, and if he caught any. His driver took photo, and they mailed one to us. Ike used to spend time fishing, at Alton Jones Camp, in West Greenwich, RI. Like his Camp David. In fact there is Eisenhower Pond, appropiately named after Ike.

Times change, Better communications and the need for war to maintain readiness for war is gradually falling away as security issues increasingly move toward the hazards of astroid impact avoidance and with that our need for maintaining and improving our readiness to Nuke( if necessary) large astroids away from our world. The real, vulerability in this is absolutely required to our continuing existence here. If we were actually prepared and had demonstrated this as a fact I would not have so much concern...but we are not prepared and missing this obvious need could lead to an extinction level event....again.

"To avoid war-prepare for war"
The cold war between Russia and USA proved this is right, neither side wanted to fire the first shot knowing it would be the demise of possibly both sides.
