Planet X was a hypothetical planet that was assumed to be beyond Neptune from the early 1900 to the 1930s when the planet Pluto was found. From 1978 to 1993 plant x referred to another hypothetical planet beyond Pluto. In 1993 this hypothesis was disproved. Planet x is used in the context of the year 2012, when then, according to many different unsubstantiated and unscientific beliefs, the end of the word occurs when planet x collides into earth.
