It's not so excessively...it's just you know...you love your kids.

I am so guilty of this.

    Shoot me!

Bang....bang....I just shot you down!! LMAO...you are not guilty of anything except loving in excess, which is not a bad thing in my book!

Thanks ole hipster. I am one of those women who could have had a dozen children and still would have room to love a few more. It amazes me.

Great answers!!! Both of You! I would coddle my kids all day and night if I could, I Love them so much!!!!!!!

Coddle in cooking means to cook something in water at just below boiling point and I believe that has came down to us as treating children with almost excessive degree of loving care. So the care is "Almost over the top"

I have heard of coddled eggs and I believe there is a Irish dish similar to stew that is called "coddle"

A Coddle is the medication a ob/gyn uses to shoot  into Your spine when You are far enough to numb You from the waist down, when You are having a  baby.  My advise, DON'T have it!  It's easier and faster to have the baby natural!  A coddle has BAD withdrawal......shakes, so bad that You can't stop: You'll feel very cold, but hot at the same time,  Your legs are so numb that the  medical  staff can  and do move them in all different  directions, and  boy, do they  hurt when  the medicine wears down!!!!!....and  all  the   symtoms take forever to wear off!  Besides, You'll want to hold Your baby!
