Hey, your answer is in your question!  God created you to be attracted to the opposite sex because he loves childred and wants you to be fruitful.  He supplied us with The Holy Spirit to dwell in us as a helper to us as well as a comforter to our soul.  Find someone, who you know, who has the Holy Ghost and ask them to help you ask for it.  That's the best way to keep your urges in check.  You can still admire Gods handiwork!  Read Acts 1-8 and other versus around it.
