    I need help finding the given ordered pair as a solution?

      Substitute the values of the ordered pair 2,1 into your equation. If it makes a true statement the ordered pair is one solution to your linear equation. So the equation now reads:


      1=4*2-7  so 1=8-7 is a true statement so 2,1 is a solution
