I don't think everyone want's children, however my life would not be complete without them,I have three, ages 4,10,and 14,rearing children is no easy task, but I didn't really start living until I had them, they are my everything and I couldn't imagine my life without them, they are truly my blessing from god.For many they feel voids at some point in their life without them, after all, they are an extension of yourself, and so many before you, they cant fix a broken relationship, but they give you purpose and make you love deeper than you ever thought possible. For those that cant have their own there is always adoption,my aunt and uncle adopted a baby and raised what is now an awesome 19 yr.old young lady, being a mother is more than pregnancy and child birth, that's just the beginning.:)

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE that answer. That is exactly how I feel. Of course, you can get the same feeling from adopting, being a foster parent or big sister/big brother. But I think it is part of why we are here. At the end of the road, if you look back & did not have this experience, it would be a real tragedy as a human being. Just my opinion too.
my wife and i dont have kids either and were no spring chickens.often times we do feel a void in our hearts, especialy when our nices and nephews come to visit.however we do borrow them for our family portrit...but we do have each other, but most importantly we have christ in our lives and belong to the largest eternal family in existence!

I believe you can live a fulfilled life never having raised kids. An issue is, no matter what you do to instill in them decency, respect, etc; there is no guarantee that they will meet your expectations. They can suck the life out of you. They can ruin marriages. Forget the cost involved in raising them. However, once their there you can't imagine life without them. Loving your children is not enough if you can't afford them and I'm not just talking food, shelter, etc; Don't start a family.

Children are not for everyone so I have to say your life will never be complete no matter what! I think life is always changing and we are always striving for something different from year to year. One look at my wardrobe and there is forever change in my sense of style also indicating that I am always evolving as to who I am...Thank God I'm no longer that girl in the shoulder padded green suit anymore...lol. This is what is so exciting in life as once you complete something then it gets to be old and boring. Look at not wanting children as wanting to be complete in a different way. The grey hair and strain lines will most likely not be your issue and you might even live longer...lol.
