    I like Lysol toilet bowl cleaner that is thick and clings to the bowl. Then you brush, brush, brush. Repeat as often as necessary.

      Bleach will do the trick, it is much cheaper too.

        It may be deposits of lime, in which case a dilute acid such as vinegar should shift it with plenty of scrubbing.

          I bought a package of those gel type thingies that snap into the bowl and release protection each time you flush. They came 6 to a pack for 97 cents and last about a week each....They worked great and I really had a problem with bowl ring..........
