As far as I know the earthworm is a variety of worm an invertebrate . They belong to Kingdom animalia it is a distantly related animal called an annelid. which is a in which the body is divided into segments both internally and externally..They help aereate the ground and live in the ground .Usually under rocks or wood etc. help to keep snails away from your garden.If there is a plank of wood in the garden and you lift it you will find them hiding there.

Well I've searched the net and have yet to find any page or article that states worms are animals. As far as you know...bring us a link that says this.

Can you explain how you came to the determination that they are since they are not warm blooded which is something that defines an animal?
