I would think a cememtary has only so much space and some are small and large but they never seem to ever get full wondering mind would like to know whats really going on "the big boy club".

Our cemetery is located on the edge of town and when it gets full they move the fence farther into the fields on either side. Around here there are a lot of old cemeterys located out in the country that are no longer used, like the old church fell down but the cemetery is still there. Also there are small family cemeteries located out in fields where farms used to be that are no longer used. All are very interesting to walk through, the head stones tell the history of the people who lay buried there.

Down here they simply put someone else on top of the last body. So, they still have lots of room left.

In Europe, many grave concessions are not everlasting and have to be renewed. If the descendants do not pay, the body will be exhumed and put in a common grave and the old grave site re-used.
If in Paris visit Pere Lachaise cemetery and see graves of Oscar Wilde and Jim Morrison (also many others, naturellement).
