It seems like sometimes they do, as that is when siblings seem to get the worst with each other.
Agreed. It's shameful the way some siblings act when a parent dies. That won't be the case here.
I even know of two different cases where kids have told their parent up front what they want from the house, after their demise. In one family, they actually went so far as to put their names on the items, underneath, with tape! :(

Rather sad isn't it? But, I guess the siblings know each other best. It's strange, but for many people there are alot of old feelings buried just under the surface. In some instances, some siblings just feel more entitled than everyone else too. Sad, that their focus is more on the material things, rather than what is happening with their parent.
Very true. In their declining years it must be hard for a parent to see their kids circling like vultures.
Also, Wills re supposed to be bequests, things left as a momento or token. These days many people do feel it is their "right' to receive this, that and the other.
