    I am turning 65 in January, UGH!!! and I would like to know when I need to sign up for Social Security, I am still employeed full time and don't plan on retiring any time soon.

    You can file an application three months befoe your 65th birthdate.  Go to your local SS office or apply online.

    Contact the SS Administration.

    Personally, I wouldn't apply until your full retirement date if you plan to continue working. You should apply 3 months before you wish to start collecting. If you decide to start collecting right away, there is a limit on how much you can earn each year until you reach that full retirement date. After that, you can earn as much as you want. An appointment with your local SS office would be wise.
