MRSA (Methicillin-Resistant Staphylococcus Aureus) is any Staphylococcus Aureus germ that doesn't respond to antibiotics that usually goes better the condition of patients infected with other Staphylococcus Aureus. In other words, these staphylococcus strains are resistant to standard antibiotics, which makes their infection very hard to treat and very dangerous.
MRSA usually appears in places such as hospitals, nursing homes, and prisons, where there are relatively many invasive devices, individuals with weak immune systems, and open wounds, which increase the risk of MRSA infection.
