Let us see the solution for this one.

    1. Let us assume the required percentage be x.

    2.  Then, by question,

    x % of 400 = 1

    i.e. x /100 × 400 = 1

    i.e. x = 1/4 = 0.25

So, the required percentage is 0.25%.

    Note: For the instant method,

    Do like this,

Make 1 as the numerator and 400 as denominator and multiply the fraction with 100%

    i.e 1/400 × 100 % = 0.25%

Hope this has delete your confusion on percentage. Share the idea with your friends too.
