THANKS HAHAA U CAN MAKE A WOMEN LAUGH WITH OUT HER TEETH LOL AND FOR YOU JHHARLAN . LET ME HAVE IT, IT MAY MAKE MY EVENING....I LOVE WHEN PEOPLE FLAUNT THEIR INTELLIGENCE....
Because when a tooth is pulled the root is pulled out of the bone in your jaw and so there is a hole there now exposing the bone, nerves and blood vessels, so your body creates a blood clot there to protect it while healing. Spitting causes suction on the socket and blood clot and can dislodge it then causing an extremely painful condition called "dry socket". The raw bone and nerves are then exposed to air, food and what ever else, causing intense pain and sometimes infection. That's why!! So don't spit and get better quickly!! :-]

Really, Tommyh?? Guess it's good that I didn't go into details about the infection itself, then, right? LOL
spitting causes suction- that's right. And that process causes more blood to come out and you really don't want that. so don't spit as long as u can.
