    The top and bottom of the website you are building. The header would display the name and or banner of your page. The footer is usually used for links to points of interest, like Help or FAQs or "about us/contact us".

    Thanks for the info Colleen, I am helping to build a website and didn't know that. Thanks for the tip. I just assumed it was for a WORD Document. Been an Admin Asst. for too long. Or a glorified secretary! LOL

    It's the top 1 inch of a document and the bottom 1 inch of a document in WORD.  You can see it if you go to VIEW on your document toolbar.  Click on header and footer on the dropdown list.  You can only see it in the view position.  It allows you to insert page numbers, Titles, etc on each page of the document without having to type it on each page.
