If chicken cutlets were egged & breaded and put into a cooler then brought on vacation uncooked. Are they safe to eat if I fry them when I get there four hours later?

The cutlets were egged and breaded and brought on vacation and then fried. Will they be OK for a pregnant woman to eat or is the egg & cutlet not safe?

If the food was kept very cold whilst in transit and then cooked properly the cutlets would be safe to eat.

Yes if kept at about 36 degrees, they would be fine.  Our little bugger Salmonella likes it warmer than 36, and he loves chicken!   I would not even trust a cooler, so think better to bread and then freeze them, then transport in ice.

Keeping cold is important, but even more important is cooking. Cook chicken well done .
