    Standard mileage rate. For 2011, the standard mileage rate for the cost of operating your car for business use is:


    51 cents per mile from January 1 through June 30, 2011, and


    55½ cents per mile from July 1 through December 31, 2011.

    Crap! That means I have to break down the mileage in two segments. That's the government for you. It would have been so simple just to set one rate for the whole year. Gonna start my taxes tomorrow ... need that refund. My, you're up early this morning (or up late last night).
