What I remember about this is that in olden times, when bread was baked, the elite received the top crust of the bread where the slaves and others received the bottom of the bread which was on the stones and dirty and sometimes burnt.. So when someone says that a person is upper crust, this means they are of the elite class..

Answer:
During the period of feudalism, when noblemen gathered for a meal in the castle, those of higher rank sat at the head of a T-shaped table, and the remaining people sat in order of diminishing importance away from them. For such occasions, a yard-long loaf of bread was baked, and the honor of making the first cut belonged to the highest-ranking person at the head table, who would then pass the bread down in order of rank, but always keeping for himself the "upper crust."

My computer often jumps to the TD. I usually mention it to the person and also tell the contact people. That could be happening to George Carr.
My computer is going to the shop again very soon.
Interesting questions, chiangmai.

Any way, Mr. Carr has been driven away, no pun intended. :)
