I look forward to the cool days and nights, our county fair, our harvest festival and my favorite holiday Thanksgiving.

Fall is my favorite season  leaves color turning  , cool mornings and evenings

My down comforter, camp fires, all the snowbirds go back to Florida, old bastards I hate driving behind them. I know, I know I'm old too.

OH YES!!! Big blankies! Snuggle time.. Even if I am by myself!

beautiful leaves. the smell of fire wood and burning leaves. sunshine-not too hot.

Festivals coming up one after another: Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year, meaning lots of good food and fun.

FOOD!!!! I love love love FOOD!

The crisp air and the  the smell of fallen leaves and  fire in the woodstove. Its heaven.

I love the Fall the only thing I dont like is the dark mornings and the dark evenings but the leaves falling and the birds flying off and thinking I hope they all come back next year! though cant wait for christmas as the nights start to get light again! you cant have it all I do like the cosy nights on the sofa there good!!!!

    Exactly my thoughts.

a cold crisp walk through the park, watching the leaves turn colors, hicking through the woods and hot beverages in the evening..

    Bungy jumping.

I think about ,how in just a couple of short months winter will be kicking our asses here in Cleveland,I'm about a mile from the lake front (Lake Erie) and that wind from up north can knock you off your feet...Hate Winter...

THE DAY OF THE YEAR THAT YOU LET DEER HUNTERS KNOW HOW MUCH YOU RESPECT THE WORK THEY DO KEEPING THE NUMBER OF DEADLY DEERS OFF THE HIGH WAY
    bulletman

The deer hunters have a quota, as in culling the deer or do they go berserk and kill as many as they can?

our state limits you to 3 bucks a year and about 100 does

    Spring....

I think of that naughty snake that tempted Eve in the Garden of Eden and  the Fall of Man it caused.

If I lived in upstate New York (where my ex-husband is from), I'd be looking forward to the beautiful colors of the leaves.  AMAZING.  I'd also be getting excited about having the best, crispest apples in the whole world to crunch on, and fresh apple cider to drink with some powdered sugar doughnuts.

BUT, since I live in the Central Valley of California, what I am facing is dust, dead leaves falling off trees and vines, grey days that are completely colorless (except for the grey), deadly fog.  I get depressed when the short days come and the sun gets blocked.

One the upside, I enjoy Halloween (my sister has a haunted theatre which is awesome, and I may do some acting there to help out).  Thanksgiving is a little lonely as the family has split up. I love decorating for Christmas.  For nearly 20 years I sent out a Christmas letter or poem that summarized our family's year.  The poems really were pretty good, gotta admit it.

So, to actually answer the question, I'll agree with Flip and say "Spring".

I feel your pain. I grow up in New England. The lack of Autum colors is despesing. I always get a little home sick this time of year. I live in the Bible Belt so Halloween is tabu. And I absolutely adore Halloween.
I do drive 4 hours away for apple picking in the mountains of GA. I just cant bring myself to eat those "things" the sell in stores.

I saw that post about driving to GA for the apples. Halloween is such a fun time. Three (or is it 4) years ago, my sister and two partners rented a six-plex theater and turned it into "Fright Night Scream Park" with five of the theaters housing walk-thru haunted attractions. It is one of the best in the nation, according to some TV show on PBS last year. If you are ever here during October, you'll be my guest!
