You statement needs correction.  You should say I am 74 years YOUNG.  In this way you can find a job easily.  There is no age discrimination in employment.

It is illegal to hold age against an applicant. Only apply for jobs you know you can physically do.

I don't see the problem, I work with many people your age. No big deal.

Home Depot likes to hire the not so young, they appreciate your knowledge....

Age discrimination is illegal, but it happens every minute of the day. I would look into a hospital or senior care environment. After all you could relate better to a person your age than some youngster. You will be a positive influence on others you come in contact with, by the mere fact that your still working. Ed, how do you know jerry gray relates better to an older person? That's a stereotype if I ever saw one. Maybe he would be better suited to work in a children's ward. How about Wal Mart or McDonalds or the library? yvonne57

Not knowing  your  personel information and job history  I would  suggest  that maybe you should try working for  your self . In todays  economy  its ilegal to  discriminate because of age, but   we all know it happens.  I just retired from a  company  known world wide and  they like to boast they are  1 of the best 100 companies to work for.  Bull S.   I was 63 and they made it so hard  I had to  retire  but  thats life.

WalMart is known to hire the not so young.  They're known for good benefits too.
