      Home and away, in any sport, is the location in which the team is playing their game. If at "home", they are playing in the home town of the team. If "away", they are playing out of town, where the opposing team is located.

        Some times the teams will play at a host field. Then I believe the home team is decided by a coin toss. I think.

        The New York Giants play all their games away. Half of them are played in New Jersey.
