Refresh your memory about the object of the game. As the story goes, Donkey Kong, a gorilla, has captured Mario's girlfriend and Mario has to get her back. He must do this by climbing up and down a series of ladders and platforms while avoiding falling and rolling objects the angry gorilla throws at him.

Go to the Free Online Game website to play Donkey Kong. In the search box at the top of the page, type in "Donkey Kong." Then, click on the link to play the game. The gorilla starts hurling objects at you right away so be ready to play immediately.

Use your left and right arrow keys to move back and forth on the steel structure. Move up to the next level by climbing the ladders. To climb a ladder, position yourself by the ladder and press the up arrow key to move up a ladder and the down arrow to move down a ladder.

Jump over the falling objects by pressing the space bar. Be sure to time your jumps well because if you touch the falling objects you lose a life. Just like in the classic Donkey Kong version, you get four lives in online Donkey Kong.

Watch the falling objects coming from the gorilla. They roll along the platforms but can also fall down to lower levels on ladders.
