I was 42 and diabetic and my daughter became diabetic at age 5. We when in a restaurant to eat and as I was ordering she spoke up loudly and said my dad and me are diabetic, everyone got quite and didn't say anything (what do you say, good for you, thats nice, I think not) so I said she's proud of what we are, wish I could be, people laughed.

My brother was born with diabetes. God bless you parents for taking care of a child with this disease, it's rough. I was 19 when I developed it and the Dr. sent me to my mother's rather then the hospital...

The time my son snuck into the kitchen to "punch" me because he had seen a volkswagon on T.V.  You should have seen the look on his face!

My eldest daughter once told a man who didn't like children that, "Children are life's greatest invention"... Years later she informed me that I had steered her wrong because, "Children are made not  invented.".... I still think the invention of children is life's greatest even though she is 24 and still impersonating a teenager.  That girl is a masterpiece and definitely an invention.
