For pro and cons, read this article:  http://online.wsj.com/article/SB10000872396390444184704577587174077811182.html

    Interesting info.

If you decide to become a vegetarian or a vegan make sure you do your homework and suppliment accordingly.  I am a vegetarian but my husband and son are not.  I buy locally grown organic or free range meat for them.  We attempt to adhere to the 100 mile diet.  Eat sensibly and know where your food is grown.

Don Darling you are hilarious. I am not chubby. It's difficult to be chubby when eating grapes, kelp and phytoplankton!

I have a few pounds to shed from my pregnancy... I am almost what most people would call skinny... I guess.

If the Inuit can survive on whale blubber, I figure a T-bone can't be THAT horrible of an alternative. Especially when accompanied by healthy, blood-thinning red wine.

It's the Tiramisu finale that may be debatable.

    I won't debate.
Just pass the plate. : )

Several years ago, there was a vegan-type info-fair at Venice Beach, CA.  Reading about the differences in carnivore animals' teeth, intestines, and stomachs compared to those of humans was a real eye-opener....so much so that I ate only chicken and fish "meat" for a couple of years.  Alas, I'm a carnivore again, but I FELT better then.

As long as you keep warm yes,

We evolved as we are today because our ancestors began eating flesh from other animals. Our brain and nervous system changed because of it .Yes vegan it is good for you though. Eat fish too. Dont let people tell you pork is a dirty meat ,or that beef and chicken has too much growth hormones. Its not true.

I don't think a "Duck y" or a "Fish let" should be answering this. There's a conflict of interest for each one! "dollybird", and lambshank, too!

    Not Yellow Tangs.

I eat enough to maintain my weight and vitality. My diet is omnivorous. I don’t worry about my diet because worry is so unhealthy. I don’t buy into “health benefits” or “harmful additives” because there are folks who are paid to monitor these things and keep things that are toxic or harmful out of the food chain. I like some foods in preference to others like chocolate in all of it’s varied forms. There are many tempting offers in the packaged food isles but I prefer simply prepared foods like steak, chicken, ham, cheese and really great old-world breads. Also lots of nuts and seeds. I do like salads also. I have known many vegans and I never found those diets healthy despite the claims of ardent believers. My diet may or may not kill me, sooner or later. I just doubt that what  I eat can harm me half as much as what I say.

yes and no because u get more fruits and vegges

    you can't eat meat
