Don't worry about the world coming to an end.  Everything happens for a reason.

Actually,, I was just curious how others feel.   As far as myself......I  place each and every day in God's hands, and look forward to the day I am with Him someday:)

I have a thing about "the press." the reporters earn their money by getting lead stories. sometimes they will blow up a story to get the interest of the public. there may be stories that are equally important but might not have the "reader appeal"  the journalist's mantra is "If it bleeds, it leads."

the 9/11 stories are showing a lot right now because it is anniversary ten. It's a very important story, of course but somehow it goes right into "end of the world stories"

No, I do not think that "most people think" this.  The only ones who think the world is ending are those who unequivocally believe in the biblical prophecy. They will waste their lives just sitting around waiting for Jesus to reappear and for the world to end. Neither of which will happen. The non religious sick people will carry on with life as usual.

The number of reported events that comes to us as news is significantly higher than anytime in our past as a result of increased communications via electronics globally.
