I'm a chicken person. We take her in the car and to the beach. Of course we keep her on a lead too. She's an Isa Brown and she's smarter than most people who ask question on this site. She's so smart, she digs holes along the fence until she comes to a shallower place, then she digs under it and presto, she's out and ready for a walk.

Yes, seems like it when we end up adopting some poor thing that has been mistreated or abandoned. Cats just don't survive outside here very long. There is a barn owl in our barn too.
