My very best friend died 6 years ago. She said,"Cool Beans" all the time. I get teary eyed every time I hear (or see) this expression. She was a great soul and I miss her!!
My middle son said it to me one time while we were texting about something and then we started rhyming back and forth from that starting point. When I use it, I am thinking of the fun we had that day. He is the one in jail. We don't get to text much righ now.

Yes, they are good tears. I'm sorry to hear your son is in jail. I have 4 family members who think jail/prison should be their second home on a regular basis. I don't know the story about your son but I hope you will get to see him soon.
CB. I'm glad to hear your tears are happy ones, but sad to hear you have family who don't function well "on their own". I see my son at least once a week, and we talk 2-3x/week on the phone, plus write a letter to each other every couple weeks. He is in the same town as me, but will probably be in prison by the time all the dust settles (and there's alot of dust). My eldest is headed that way, too, with a July arrest. Both have addiction to meth and that does create some unfortunate situations. I'm glad to be here with people who are compassionate towards each other. It makes life a little nicer!

I googled Chiang Mai images and that was one of the pictures. I was hoping to find one that best represented the atmosphere that you love about Chiang Mai. Did I choose well?

I stand corrected. It's Wat Doi Suthep in Chiangmai, my favorite temple in the universe. You certainly selected well. I will visit it 8 weeks from now.

You are the first non-Hawaiian to spell "luau" correctly. Hence, there'll be plenty of maitai and kalua pig when you all make it to the islands, or Chiangmai for that matter.
