In Australia teachers are overpaid, they are absolutely useless, the kids are leaving school to enter the workforce with little knowledge of grammer, maths and none of history as teachers feel its a waste of time learning about the past. Teachers have no idea of what's happening in the world (current affairs ), which is understandablea as they have never left the education system.

Some teachers genuinly work to help children learn and mature to thier highest potential... However, there are teacher whos soul purpose for teaching is to have the summers off... Sad but true!
I think that the problem is that teachers are not held accoutable for there students education. In GA they spend all year trying to teach the students how to pass the Standardized testing. There is no room for a teacher to be inventive or help indiviual stundents. They are litterally given a script to go by. And there is no time to deviate, or help children that fall behind.

The way we think, act, develop our skills and emotions are just few of the many contributions of our teachers in our lives. They could either be our parents, mentors, grandparents, friends, religious leaders and so on. Teachers could be anybody as long as they motivate us to learn and accomplish new things.
Now for the literal teachers, if we look at the bright-side of their effectiveness, they have become part of our growth and development. Whether we consider them as efficient or not as effective as they should be, still there purpose could not just have been a coincidence. They are molders of what we have become. But still, it is up to us to let that opportunity shape us into a new being.
