Social means more taxes but more social benefits (health care for everyone special help for families with many children etc). Liberal means less taxes, but no special health care for everyone, and no special help for people who needs it (basically you have more freedom to make a fortune and succeed, but only if you have a good starting position.

I don't like to use labels for this topic, however what I know, I see many homeless and poor people on the streets of beautiful San Francisco and San Jose, California. I live in Silicon Valley. So many wonderful, smart and rich people. There is no way the unfortunate should be homeless and without social services, like teeth care and health care. We can call it social, democracy, welfare or whatever. We need to get a plan where people are not embarrassed and have a basic level of living and functioning in this great society.

Nancy Pelosi used her position years ago to wheel and deal herself into a substantial wealth by tinkering with zoning laws is SF. She pretends to advocate for the less fortunate, but.....
What I don't understand is how a person could choose to be homeless, and a startling number do. One of the akaQA members enjoyed time as a homeless person. Every person should have major responsibility for his own wellbeing. When the government plays Robin Hood, Socialism isn't far behind, and collapse of society inevitable
