jealousy over others posessions makes people violent. they see their car, their spouse, their house, their jewels, their vacations. the poor live under a bridge or in a low-end house. Many of them have tried to make it in life. many of them have disabilites. or care for someone with disabilites. sometimes they are hungry and sometimes they want food for their family. sometimes their children need shoes and nice clothes and they can't afford them. have you ever noticed how people make fun of "trailer trash" it's usually only the young men who are violent. they have the energy and the will to rob or steel or kill. every other ad on tv is for a big car. the women are thin and beautiful. the men are handsome and rich. sometimes just being born in the wrong neighborhood sets a person up for poverty, sadness, and sometimes violence.
i think there was less crime and violence in the old days before tv and maybe before computers.

maybe we know too much about far away places and don't put enough emphasis on what's right in front of our faces.

Different forms of media make the world a much smaller place now. The violence has always been there but now we can get it all in seconds and it becomes overwhelming.

First off, a lot of men and boys committ violent acts that they normally wouldn't do, b/c they are on Meth,or some similar drug.
Secondly, men are predisposed to violence and agression b/c of high levels of tetosterone and progesterone.
Thirdly, many peole have not been exposed to the teachings of Jesus that we should return good for evil and love our enemies.
Fifth, they took all the good kids cartoons off the air and replaced them with violent cartoons that shows different civilizations destroying other civilations. And they show war,violence against men and women such as--- people beating up each other and killing others. The gov wants kids to watch a stead diet of that , so they will be interested in going to war when they are 18. Ditto for the video games on the market for kids that are violent.
And lastly , many boys and young men are violent b/c they've never had any good male guidence in their family, and they know they can walk all over their mom. And they're angry at their father for walking out on them when they were little.

Violence is not new to the world. If you look back in history violence was there. It's just that the new perpetrators have more powerful toys to play with.

Unfortunately violence begets even more violence. People tend to act out what they know. If they were raised in a violent environment (whether it's in the home, the society they grew up in, etc.) the tendency is that they themselves will turn out that way too.
