Gotta wonder how you became a peer mentor in the first place?
If you don't WANT to do it, talk to the advisor/teacher about resigning.
If you are AFRAID or INSECURE about mentoring, maybe you don't really want to quit. Maybe you need some tips on being able to talk with the students who you are supposed to mentor.
Talk to the advisor/teacher in either case. Being a mentor is a serious responsibility and also a huge honor. You weren't selected just because of your good looks. Ask for help in learning how to talk with your peers and help them with their issues. It isn't going to get easier for you as you meander through life. Learning the important skill of communication NOW will play a big role in your success.
If nothing else make an appointment to talk to another teen mentor about YOUR problem!
