what happened? I was mowing all of a sudden the engine got weak and smoked and quit I pushed it back in the shop I see a puddle of oil on the floor. I changed the oil and I tighned the drain bolt so why did my oil leak out? I don't know whether to put oil back in it and try to crank it or not. What

It sounds like it is finished . Chance of life being restored is slim . Take the plug out and see if you can pull it like trying to start it . Most likely galled the cylinder wall making it difficult for the piston to move . This dont go away Sorry . Time to look for another one

Sounds like your case is cracked, they just don't leak oil like that unless drainplug fell out or the crankcase is cracked, or could be a seal  in anycase i agree with bluesman, its time to move on to a new one..
