I was recently in a restaurant and there was a group of people sitting across the way that had their meals paid for randomly by an anonymous stranger. I thought to myself what a random act of kindness that was. What would be your random act of kindness?

My random act of kindness would be to provide   manicures, pedicures, facials, and hair stylists at a home for battered women.  Just give the ladies something that isn't a "necessity" but just makes them feel prettier.  Pamper someone who needs a little pampering!

Oh My Goodness...thats so beautiful, I can so see what your saying. I have read a few of your answers and many of your questions and I have to say that you have a heart of platinum gold. I am a hair stylist and would just love to do something like that. I spent time in a women's shelter with my children so I have to say I know the lowness that one feels at that time. You have a beautiful soul...thank you!

    thank you, Mom.

I wish I could make it rain for those who need it and dry out the ones who need that.  Make everyone comfortable, I guess is what I mean.

Thanks Lupe, I was beginning to wonder why there are no answers to this question. I love that you would do that if you could.

I know this sounds crazy . But I'll leave money in soda machines , I'll drop a dollar or so in random places . Because if you think about how lucky you found money it makes your day . And when I see someone happy it makes my day . I guess the deal is do it from the hart and want nothing back .

Another really cool thing to do as well. The whole doing it from the heart has to be the reason or it looses meaning. Thats really a great idea to share a refreshing drink on a hot day...nice, I love it!

something from the heart,  I had been very ill and had 2 small children to care for, my husband was overseas, one afternoon the doorbell rang, I answered it, no one there but then I looked down, a fabulous homecooked casserole, never found out who had done such a kind thing, but have never forgotten, small things can mean so much.

That was very special, kindness without gratification. I bet you have done or will do the same in return knowing how it feels.

In the 1970's,  I had a beloved uncle who grew up extremely poor and became a well-to-do self-made man. Every Christmas Eve he would visit various places and businesses and would hand out or tuck in the pockets of working-class people a 100.00 bill!   A lot of money in the day, and they were astonished and thankful and he was heartwarmed for it.    HIS random act of kindness......................Thank you Uncle Elmer. You are loved to this day.

Your Uncle was a very special person. Any man that "Gets it" is an extremely rare breed. I have to wonder how many people that he touched enough, that repeated the favour in their own lives. Thats the one thing I would hope for, in the midst of doing a random act of kindness that your deed touches one enough that they would do it for someone else with such a feeling of happiness. Thanks for sharing your story.

I can't begin to tell you how many times I've repaired cars for people free of charge, Those less fortunate need help from those who can help. I'm a firm believer in what goes around comes around. I've been very very fortunate in all aspects of my adult life.

Looks like I'm in good company. Thanx guys.

Good manner are rare these days... I open doors for people and thank them when they ask "how I am?"

I also give a dollar every now and then to those signing though I know they make a small fortune, I know far too many to ignore them all... There is a 76 years old lady who walks around with a cart collecting aluminum to cash in and I save all my cans just to give to her, I also give her a dollar and a sandwich...

it's a crying shame that acts of random kindess should be just that : random... wouldn't it be a wonderfull world if acts of kindness were commonplace..

    mom

    wouldn't that be great!
