Open a PDF file you want to convert in Adobe Acrobat.

Click the "File" menu and then choose "Export."

Select "Microsoft Word Document" as the output file format.

Click "Settings" to change conversion options, such as whether to preserve the layout of the document or include images. Click "OK."

Click "Save" to convert the document. You now can open the file in Microsoft Word and edit it as needed.
Online Conversion

Log on to the internet and go to NitroPDF's PDF to Word Converter site (see Resource 1). Click "Browse" to select a PDF file. Make sure ".DOC" is selected as the file type. Enter your email address. Click "Convert." The converted Word document will be sent to you in an email.

Visit PDF Online's PDF2Word site (see Resource 2). Click "Browse" to upload a PDF file, and click "Upload and Convert." The file will be processed and available for download. No email address in necessary.

Go to the PDF Converter website (see Resource 3). Click "Browse" and select a PDF file you want to convert to Word. "Word (doc)" should be selected under "Output Format." Enter your email address and select "Attach Files to Email." Click "Convert Your File."
