Well, the people who came over the Bering during the ice age are thought to be the first inhabitants of America, but there might have been people here before then. The Vikings made many trips to America... they traded with the Skralings...the natives they said screamed and screetched as they jumped through the trees. The Vikings traded red cloth with the Skralings for food and other things they needed. Columbus came to America as he was looking for a water route to India. Others came afterward.
