    I had a severe fall in Jan 2010, with a twisitng knee injury (both legs went out from under me on ice @ a client's home). After surgery to the knee, I developed blood clots, now have severe edema and redness in the foot of that R) leg.     if you had clots massage is not a good idea as it can cause clots to dislodge and travel to other areas, sometimes fatal. i would keep it up to reduce swelling and call my doctor. also that sounds like your sciatic nerve is causing a great deal of pain. try chiropractic for that. hope your feeling better soon
