There are tons of low carb diets out there such as the Atkins and South Beach diets. I do not know your gender, life style or the amount of weight you want to lose. So here is a general guide to cutting carbs to lose weight. It is known as the “No White Diet" which works for many people. Basically, you just stop eating food with sugars, white flour (pasta, bread, cake, donuts, etc), white rice, and potatoes (some include milk). This effectively cuts back on the carbohydrates in your diet, especially the high glycemic types. Just realize that there are also white foods, such as tofu, cauliflower, and onions, that are low in carbs and good for you! Last do not make the mistake that fruits or vegetables are bad b/c they contain sugars and non-starch carbs. These are fine to eat and are extremely healthy for you. Good Luck.
