      You only need a microphone to do that. If your laptop does not have an on board microphone, then you need to buy one and plug it into your computer. The app you are recording to should have an option for you to record voice to the video you're creating.

          No, I am not sure. I know you can now hook your computer up to a TV but I don't know if dvd players are the same. You are attempting to do something I know nothing about.

            OK, this is more than I know. I though you were using a program that was downloaded into your computer. Try an electronics store to find out what you need.
