I need to have a surgery that is not cosmetic or selective, for a problem that my physcian says I need , in a few months, my office manager says that since I have no PTO time left, that I cannot take it with out pay, I must be considered part time since I have used all mt PTO time this year. I have worked there for 25 years in same office, I have short term disability. My est time out is 4-6 week , maybe can come back to a sitting job sooner that is available. What is the law on this?
