I thought someone from this site was from Indiana. My grandfather was transferred to Ft.Wayne when he worked for GTED'S. I briefly lived in Woodburne where we lived on a dairy farm for about 3 months. I think this is where I got my love for cows. I remember there were a lot of Amish people and I went to school with a few of them too.

I grew up in Chesterton NW Indiana close to Ft. Wayne. Other close towns are Michigan City and South bend. Michigan City in the news because of young boy rescued from sand dune cave in at Mt. Baldy South Bend of course for Notre Dame! Go Irish!

404 is the code for removing a question and all comments from this site. Some questions are definitely in need of this like the weird sex things or swearing or general nasty things. Some get 404ed because I guess they irritate someone.

By any chance did you have an ATS or AT'S Ice Cream parlor in Chesterton? There was one a few blocks away from us. My grandfather would take us there for Ice Cream Sundaes which came in a very tall glass. I've never seen or heard of this Ice Cream shop since then so it may have been a single family owned IC parlor.

Cb I don't remember. I know we had a soda fountain at the drug store with cheery coke or green rivers and we could fit 15 teens in a booth meant for 6 at max. Chesterton is now known for its Wizard of Oz Festival. which I have not attended.
