Hi M&R. I was sorry to hear of Oliver. As to your query about my black cat's name please read on.
After the sad passing away of "Toby" my wife and I decided that the next cat would be the poorest one we could find in the local animal home. In July 2009 we visited the home and all the cats appeared healthy and alert. They were housed in rows of cages stacked three high. In one of the cages was a black cat who kept poking his leg through the wired mesh as if to say "take me, please take me". My wife and I looked at each other and we knew instantly that he was the new member of our family.
He was six months old and I gave him the name "Sammy". Several days passed and with each calling of "Sammy" there was no reaction whatsoever. Out of curiosity I decided to call his old name. I called " Sammy" twice and then in the same ton I said "Rombo" and he instantly turned his head to me. I fetched my wife and repeated it again and from that day on he was "Rombo" again
