My mother had one about 10 years ago. It caused her to loss motor skills on her right side and she lost her ability to think clearly or speak. She also had a few mini strokes. It was about the size of a golf ball. She went in for what the surgeon said would be a six hour operation and was out in two hours. The surgeon was dumbfounded. He said he made 3 cuts around the tumor and it literally fell right out into his hand. He said he has never seen such a thing. He said it was like a surgeon had been in there already and made all the cuts needed.

She was given a year to regain her speech, motor skills and thinking abilities. It took her 3 months and she was back to 98%. She is 74 years old and the only trouble she has now is not being able to grab a word as quick as she wants sometimes. She was always a sharp thinker. She blames it on having undergone anesthesia. Could be. That stuff can cause memory loss.
