Michael Jackson was a drug abuser with lots of money. He demanded and could pay for, endless amounts of drugs. He was not a helpless child but a drug addict, who, like many other celebrities, killed himself due to his poor life decisions. Sad indeed but no one's fault but his own.

Good answer-- Even for a duck! :)

Do not forget a "suspected child molester-drug user" If someone had done what he did, and did not have his money and celebrity status, they would be looking at life behind bars!

@Vinny..."even" for a duck? Thanks anyway. lol

@bustione...Yes and I know M.J. got off on those charges but so did O.J. $$$$$

Bustieone, you are absolutely right. Justice is not for everybody, only the chosen few are above the law. But its getting to a point where our prison system is stressed and there's no money to make em bigger, nor is there any plan to control the evil that puts them there.

Maybe MJ would have found some "new" big-boy friends in prison!

He didn't. Miichael was responsible for his own self..........

Agreed!! Michael had money, money is power, he could get all the drugs he needed to do the job, as far as I am concerned, he had no respect for his body n the first place, he spend much of his riches trying to change his body into something he wasn't. Money killed him. Not the Doctor.

Just curious to why my answer to this question was deleted?  I found this question on page 900+ this morning and I answered it by putting in a page of links for reading instead of giving a specific answer.   Some of my links were accusing the Doctor of being responsible for the death of Michael and some of my links were accusing Michael himself for being responsible for his own death.   I gave the list of links so people could (pick and choose) read the different views and perspectives and come up with their own conclusion to who is responsible for the death of Michael Jackson.

If your answer was deleted, it was not by me. I do not recall seeing an answer by you. Just Ducky, Python and Jh and I gave them all TU's. I'll check with Python.

Hmmmmmmmm, I guess the DOCTOR did it!

I was not a fan in any way shape or form of his music or how he chose to run his life.

He was given an abundant gift and he chose to defecate upon it.  Sad and true.... he did not, "Grab some guts"... he killed himself.

He chose not to understand coping mechanisms even though he could have actually paid for that kind of help and education pertaining to the matter.

    That was his journey.

'Over and done', and now the people who truly loved him .... the actual people in his life .... have to live with what he did to himself for the rest of their lives.

If it was not that Doctor it would have been another.  Welcome to America!, or any where else for that matter.  Money talks. ... Well, that was the Motto of his life, wasn't it?

Isn't that the truth! If not THAT doctor, for sure, it would have been another.

There are a lot of tragic deaths every day.  A newlywed was run over on the Venice Beach Boardwalk a couple of days ago..on a PEDESTRIAN walkway, on her honeymoon.   She didn't have a choice about getting run down. Jackson had a choice with his drug use.
I think I will miss people like her being in this world more than sad souls like Michael Jackson, in spite of his music.   His life choices are not ones I would encourage anyone to emulate or admire.

Imagine the parents who allowed their kids to go to "Never-never land" they all returned as damaged goods!  Named for the plea he would give when asked if he touched young boys...

    mycatsmom

The parents are at fault here too, for letting their child sleep in the same bed with a grown man. He was giving them wine , too. He told them is was "Jesus Juice "

I miss Micheal too...he was a gem...and a musical performing genius...he died too young and too soon...his death is like a statement about how absolutely wretched the world of fame and fortune can be...

Micheal was a driven spirit who came and went like a streaking comet...which is essentially what we all do, just some of us are put up on pedestals but most of us are not. I know many 'famous' icons in this life who didn't lean on drugs or other substances in an effort to do their work but I know that this contrast is a part of life...without contrast we learn nothing...Micheal did his time here on the planet as best he could with the media watching him since age 10...good lord I'm often surprised he lasted as long as he did...rest in peace MJ.

    lindilou

He was dreadfully mentally ill on top of it all...a syndrome called Peter Pan syndrome in which the individual just never wants to grow up...he was sick...but he was a great creator of songs...odd how money, really, can't buy you love or even wellness, especially if, as in MJ's case, the desire to be well is absent...fame is for the birds. I just want the glory....hahaha! (kidding of course) ;)

The blame for M. Jackson's death ultimately falls squarely  on the shoulders of the late Mr. Jackson. He was an intelligent man.So, he knew that if he took Prophonal ( or Propandal ) , along with all the other drugs he was taking.......that it would probably kill him. Because he had so many drugs in him, he had a " I don't care " attitude about the Dr. giving him the profanil by I V.  In fact, he begged both his private nurse, adn the doctor to give him " some milk "  He called that strong drug by that name, b/c it is white liquid in the vial.  He said he had to have it to sleep . And he told people that nobody loved him.......even tho' he had children and siblings, and a mother and father who loved him.
